Flue-gas denitrification (SNCR)

In many different applications we have proved that the required NOx level can be reached with our SNCR-technology. Depending on the specific site conditions like boiler design, fuel and NOx baseline a NOx reduction of 50 to 60 % is generally achievable. In some cases even a NOx reduction up to 80 % is possible. The results of the plants in operation show that the reliability of a boiler practically is not being influenced by the operation of the SNCR system.

With regard to the economy the process is less costly than the SCR process. Beside the low investment costs which are approx. 10-20 % of a comparable SCR system, the SNCR process provides a number of advantages to the owners of combustion plants. The process is applicable to standard industrial boilers, refinery process heaters, power- and heating plants, regardless of the fuel. The ammonia slip can be controlled at a low level and generally does not cause any problems.

We have equipped following combustion plants with our SNCR system:

  • Municipal waste incinerators
  • Incinerators for wood, biomass and Residual Derived Fuel (RDF)
  • Oil- and coal fired boilers
  • Fluidized bed boilers
  • Glaspans
  • Rotary kilns for cement and limestone
  • Thermal incinerators for soil treatment
  • Liquid waste
